The last couple of days I noticed a strange problem that I had not noticed with any of my previous cars. First on one pair of pants I noticed some loose threads at the fly. Then another with a patch on the fly where the threads running across are worn away. Yup, it is right where the seatbelt sits.

Has anyone seen some sort of a sleave for the seatbelt that can help reduce this wear and tear?

They make tons of seat belt sleeves. Most are meant to prevent them from cutting into your shoulder, but you could put them on anywhere I presume. Any Auto store would have plenty. I was at the dealership yesterday for serivce and they had three different kinds just in their small parts shop.

Are you implying there's some sort of bulge that's being worn by your lap seatbelt? That's not a strange problem, that's a strange way of bragging... :D
