Hey guys, my first post up here where the newer Prius's are. I mostly haunt the 1st gen parts.

So here's the problem. I'm replacing the front struts on a '11 or '12 and having trouble. The left side steering knuckle has kinda flopped down and I think has hyper extended the inner part of the axle where it slips into the CV joint As a result, I can't get the steering knuckle to a verticle position sufficient for it to slip in the the bottom of the strut.

The other side is fine and the axle slides in an out of the cv okay, but the left one doesn't.

Do I need to take the steering knuckle off and pull the CV axle? Any help would be divine!
