Stuck on hwy. battery low what to do?

    Thanks. It's been a tough summer. She was 48 and I'm 53. I drive a gas pig Lexus GX. Finally came to the conclusion that most of the gas savings was offset by insuring 2 vehicles. I need the GX(or something similar) for towing a boat.

    Weather permitting, a/c and heater off and windows down. You can sit there for hours without using a drop of fuel!

    Or if you're completely at a standstill, just shut it off. The only issue tho: OP say's it's raining bad, would get all fogged up.

    Sell the car. I was in a similar situation and having her car around all the time was a constant reminder.

    Re the Prius. If you or a future owner need/want to stay in the car, it makes sense to should leave it on to provide heating or cooling as needed but leaving enough gas to get to a gas station. It won't use much gas just sitting there. From what I recall, it may be able to run for days depending on how much gas you have and how much cooling or heating is needed.
