    Luxory cars already have radar-controlled speed pilot, mid-range have them on the options list. How long before all new cars have them - 10 years ? By then they may even hit the brakes for you.

    Actually, they already do.

    Distronic Plus (the Plus being the braking bit) and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (Dynamic being the braking ability) have been launched for Mercedes-Benz and Toyota respectively.

    They will brake all the way down to 0km/h.
