Hey guys! I'm looking for some sound experts! I want to put in a subwoofer into my 2015 prius. I was thinking about the Kicker 8" Subaway for under the driver seat but it will stick out a bit and the people in the back will have less leg room.

What are some recommendations? I work at best buy I will have the auto tech installer do the actual work, its cheap and I dont wanna mess with it myself.

I was thinking about getting this - Alpine 10" Single-Voice-Coil 2-Ohm Subwoofers with Enclosure Gray SBT-S10V - Best Buy

But don't know what amp from best buy will be good...

I have the kicker, it fits very well under the seat. There is a ton of room under there in the 2012-2015 Prius.

The only beef I have with it is that I wish the crossover would go a little higher...the Prius seems to have a big hole in its capabilities between 100-200 Hz (like for the bass guitar) no matter the EQ settings in the stock head unit and the kicker will only cover up to about 120. But it sounds amazing on the low end. All in all, I would strongly recommend it.

If that is the only speaker that you can budget for then you'll need an amp that can be bridged mono or single channel 2-ohm stable. I usually don't recommend people to run anything below 4-ohm because when you bridge a typical channel of an amp with total load below 4-ohm, total harmonic distortion goes up and amp efficiency goes down, meaning more power goes into heat rather than amplification. Amp with Class D and 350 wrms with built in low pass crossover will be fine.

I can't recommend a system because it's an entire setup that I would have to combine such speaker components, amps, crossovers and other stuff. But if you meant amp, like I said ea/rlier, a class D amp that can push out 300 wrms with built in crossover. Since the headunit lacks RCA output and remote turn-on lead, you need an amp that capable to turning on with high level speaker inputs. In your shoes, this would be the amp I'd get because it's all the above and 2 ohm stable:

NVX MVPA1 Micro-V 300W RMS Mono Car Amp with Small Footprint

I've been cruising around the forums trying to figure out how to connect one of these powered subs to the stock system. I have the JBL package in my 2012 Prius Plug In, and like the stock head unit. I'm coming from a full system in my old Lexus and miss the bass so bad
