First, my site expires without warning. Then it gets hijacked. Now it is spreading viruses. This is what I get for going cheap. Sorry.

New site, virus free, is at Lt. S'kai's Vehicle

Contaminated link at original post has been removed. I will do a search and see if I can find any others, then do penance.

Thanks Doc, I just wanted to let others know in case they had less virus protection than I have. Glad you get it sorted.

2008 Super White Pkg. 5 because they did not have the Spectre Blue we wanted. Now that I see the blue on the road, I am happy with my white. Rains too much to keep the blue one clean... and White looks good even when dirty. I have purchased some blue side and hood graphics but must wait for warmer weather to put it on. I'll post pics when done.... jf:)

Just a little braggin' here about my web hosting. (Free for Prius owners BTW)
My system is running all Macintosh G4 Servers and has been hack free since 1997 when we first started it up. No problems with viruses either. Just Google 2fords and you'll find it.... jf:cool::cool::cool:

Mike's hubcaps sells them. You have to attach them to the trim rings to put them on the wheels. There is another thread, look up "aerodynamic racing hub caps" for how to instructions by The Force.

They make no noticable difference on gas milage, but then my miles on them are very limited.

Probably not worth it until you get over 120 MPH. The land speed record setters are the only racing vehicles that use them. If they were useful you would see them on NASCAR, dragsters, Formula One, etc.

    Detailing white paint

I found an article that answered a lot of questions about detailing white cars. SWPC members may find it interesting. I have posted the link for discussion on the Care and Troubleshooting Forum.

    Mine's white too!

I went into the dealer to get a blue 2007--he couldn't find a dealer who could trade for one, so I went with my second choice: white! AND I got a 2008!

Now that it's winter I like the white. Everyone's right, white looks good and kinda sporty. My last car was white too. (so now we have 2 white cars in the garage)

Are we a white supremist group?;)

White looks bigger (really, park next to another Pri somewhere, and take a look), it's highly visible on the highway, and it is a great canvas for personalization.... right Doc Willie?

Be sure to :photo: of your Super White Prius

I'll be joining the white club monday ... although the 'Alpine White' .. that's what they call it up in Canada. (I'm guessing its the same as Super White .?.? )

My first choice was the Seaside Pearl.. but White was a VERY close 2nd choice - so when I was told I had to wait for the Blue, I went for the White instead. This will be my first white car.. I've had light blue, silver, green, dark blue, dark grey... now White :) I think the Prius looks very sharp in white. I'm getting the hood protector and side window visors. Also plan to get the windows tinted. I'll post pics once I get the car :D

    Used to be White

I had a white car for 20 years before I got my Magnetic Gray Prius. I like white a lot. I think as a general matter it's the best color for cars.

One reason I like it a lot (and as previously noted in post #20 by FormerVW...) is that it hides dirt. Or more accurately, a white car looks better with dirt on it than other colored cars do. It's like a trick of the eye. The brightness of the white shines through the dirt so that overall, a dirty white car looks better than a dirty other colored car.

But after 20 years of white cars, I just opted for a change of pace and got my Magnetic Gray. Not too shabby as colors go.
