Hi. My daughter has a 2012 Prius V with badly clouded headlight lenses. The lenses on my wife's 2014 V are still crystal clear (similar mileage on both cars). I'm guessing they switched to a better formulation for the plastic in 2014 and beyond? If so, I'd like get a used/junkyard 2014 assembly for the 2012 - are they interchangeable? Thanks.
2012v through 2014v are the same. 2015v through 2017v were a refreshed design. Aftermarket headlight assemblies are available some as low as $120 a pair. I might consider those as well. When it comes to improved light output I think a led bulb makes a significant difference. $22 Headlight cleaning kits work well but may fade in a year of two. This is my go to $22 Sylvania kit.
