SWI-RC Steering Wheel Controller loses programming

Hey all,
I installed a Pioneer Aftermarket radio into my vehicle and used the PAC SWI-RC steering wheel controller with it. I had everything working perfectly before buttoning up the vehicle. I drove around doing errands and after hitting the 4th store I noticed that my volume buttons and track changing buttons had all been unmapped. I did a reprogram of the unit and later on went to the store, everything worked fine on the way there, same buttons stopped working on the way back. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I sent an email to PAC tech support but probably won't hear a reply until Monday, just wondered if anyone else has had the same type of issue.
