Synthetic oil and tranny fluid for better MPG?

    I think putting 205/50R17 tires on the OEM 17" rims is straightforward, no issues. F8L has done this, I believe, maybe he'll weigh in?

    The one thing that happens with a tire having a different O.D. is your odometer and speed are going to be slightly changed, by about 1.5%.

    I'm not sure what (if anything) Toyota has done with the Prius they sell with 215/45R17, as opposed with 195/65R15. If they adjust the odometer or speedometer? Or not? The current consensus here (PriusChat) is that there's no difference in odometer/speedometer. Switching from 215/45R17 to 205/50R17, you are actually getting very close to 195/65R15.

    Good im just debating between the Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 and the Continental Pure contact with eco plus in that size. Both seem like good tires so i think its about who has them in and price.
