And you did it because you are a tree-hugger. (I mean that as a compliment.) Most Americans, sadly, don't perceive any connection between their use of gasoline and the environmental, economic, or political consequences of importing and burning gasoline. They only care about what it costs them. They will move to more efficient transportation choices, and more environmentally benign energy sources only when they can no longer afford the ones they are accustomed to using.

 

I cannot argue against your point Daniel. It's unfortunate but true.
