    Hello,
i purchased a prius 3 - 2015 last year and was informed by the car dealership that there is a tax incentive at the end of the year for purchasing a hybrid (not plug-in) is that true? any information on that?
    thank you all

I have not heard anything like that nationally.
Not CA for that matter either (and I try to focus on that)...anyone else?

It's hard to prove the non-existence of something. All I can tell you is that the current tax incentive only applies to plug in electric vehicles. The last remaining incentive for hybrids in CA was that smog checks are not required. This is no longer true as anyone with 4 or 6 year old hybrids with registrations due after April 2015 will require smog checks.

Absolutly zero... (Incentives are only available for the plug in model) The salesman probably meant the CA incentive is probably the amount of money you will have on gas, which is not much at these prices.

Hopefully you got a super great deal in your Prius.

I was thinking about getting the 2015 prius 2 for approx $18k plus tax/title/license, but I was afraid of buying any new car because of the first dent or ding on the car.

The last I checked, even the green HOV stickers for plug-ins are all gone. No more government incentive for Prius.

...well Plug-In PiP gets Fed $2500 and some CVRP credit, and there is some hope of more Green HOV stickers.

There are slim pickens for regular Hybrids except Wash DC has an incentive.

As tracy mentioned, fed has the $2,500 tax credit, and california, mentioned (unsure if or when), raised their rebate to $3,000 ($3,500).
