    ECOMMENDATIONS:

The Prius HVAC system features a number of customizable settings for general operational characteristics or functions. One available customizable setting is Noise and Vibration Reduction. This setting adjusts the speed of the AC compressor during its operation. Set the “Noise and Vibration Reduction†parameter to ON, and evaluate the condition before replacing
any components or continuing diagnosis on any noise or vibration condition perceived to be caused by the HVAC system.
NOTE: AC compressor speed is decreased with the use of this customizable feature. Please keep inmind that customers may notice a slight decrease in cooling performance with this setting ON. Also, be sure to verify that this setting is OFF when diagnosing AC performance issues.
