The regular, white Toyota (87139-YZZ16) cabin filter looks cheap and I believe is on the poor side. Still, dealerships around here charge 50 quid for it. It was in my car for 10 months after purchase. When I learned that I could get one for ten bucks I started to do it myself. I tried regular one from Blue Print (ADT32514), then I found those carbon options. Toyota has 87139-50100 but rather expensive. I personally tried Blue Print (ADT32522) and recently antibacterial from FILTRON (K1210A). Cheap and good quality. I change mine every 9K miles but when the current one gets dirty I am going to give K&N VF2000 a go. I installed K&N 33-2435 engine air filter at 50K and I am going to try K&N PS-7021 oil filter next week (at 70K).

I replace the engine and cabin filters myself.
Guys they are so easy to change a Caveman could do it.
I only use Toyota OEM filters BTW.

Take a look at the Bosch cabin air filters at Rock Auto, ~ $10 for our Gen4.
