Wow, that's amazing, highest road test score every. The most perfect luxury and performance car. Good for Tesla and wow Musk is smart. Not only is he CEO of Tesla, he's CEO of rocket company that won contract for space station trips.

Damm I have to go test drive on of those cars. I see plenty more on the road.

No doubt the S is a great car, but I'm puzzled by all the gushing over what Consumers Reports says. Hasn't CR pretty much been dismissed as an unreliable source by PC members every time it says anything the least bit unfavorable about a Hybrid or EV?

What makes them a reliable source in this case?

Note that their very first comment was "0-60 in 5.6 seconds".

We know what the CR testers like.

The CR must be better than that abysmal NY Times review.

Interesting Yahoo Finance Poll today. 65,000 contributors to the poll. The public is considering an EV in the future.

Only 99 out of 100? Oh well, better luck next time.

Yes, I would say CR is an unreliable source. We should not pick and choose to like CR when we agree with it, but go back when we disagree.

They did a hatchet job on the prius c.

The Tesla S is a great car, but the greatest? I doubt that.

Thanks to that news and the spike last night when earnings were released, I sold some of my Tesla shares when they hit 74....

They are usually pretty on it when it comes to tires. Somewhat anyway. :)

I'm kind of wary about this since it's kind of early days for the Model S. It hasn't been out long enough to even get a reasonable idea of long-term reliability.

I am shocked. Didn't somebody say there were no cup holders in the rear seat? I am waiting for the Model T!

On a more serious note, CR said the Model S uses only one half the energy of Prius. Are we saying one half of the Co2?

No, one half the energy is not equivalent to one half the co2.
The amount of energy is the same regardless of your energy source. The amount of co2 is completely dependent on the energy source.

    I don't.
But what is the greatest car to one person is not necessarily the greatest to another.
For us though, there is no question it is the best currently on the market.
