    Your conclusion, in that specific case, is possible.
    They may have also simply made an error in the original pricing, or there may have been a change in the motors.

    I'm not going to pretend to know the reason. Just going off past behavior though, it does not fit the pattern.
    They could raise the price a lot more if they wanted to.

    Last time I saw a post on the Tesla board - even the falcon door Model X (which won't be out for another 10 weeks or so) has an 8,000+ prospective owner wait line.
    Face it ... there are a LOT of peeps willing to pay extra - for a car they can charge/drive for free - that'll go from 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds.

    Hah! Elio Motors has them beat! I think I saw something like 30,000+ on their waiting list for their vaporware car. Oops make that 43,000.

    But with 3 wheels, that's a wait list for a motorcycle, technically. If Aptera couldn't come to fruition, who knows if another company can.

    It's a long shot, but Elio is keeping it a straight ICE to keep it cheap. Aptera was developing a pricier hybrid.

    The only issue I have with Elio is they are begging for investors on the front page of their web site. Doesn't bode well for them in my book.

    Honestly I hope they make it. And I hope its rock solid.

    we all hoard/collect to some extent ... maybe I should run a Craigslist ad;
    "For Trade - You can have all my bottles, cans & plastic containers if you paint my dock"
    let me help put the unnecessary range anxiety hand wringing to bed; "if" - & only if someone in the UBER minority (< 1/3 of 1%) needs to travel over 400 miles, one way - they will need to stop after 3hrs of driving, for a 30 minute lunch & to pee, while their Tesla simultaneously picks up a charge that'll be more than sufficient to complete their long-distance journey. 30 minutes. Boo hoo - the older we all get - the more frequently most of us will have to stop and pee anyway. If you think 30 minutes takes a long time - try buying cheep gas at Costco.

    5 minutes? Dream on - Guess what - the Tesla will be back on the road before you get to the front of the gas line. After that - the gasser's driver will still have to go get lunch & go pee :LOL:
    70kWh is the smallest pack size now. They did away with the 60 .... I guess the 'small' pack wouldn't cut it for most of their customers. 60 .... to small .... I'd give my left nut for a 60kWh pack .... if I knew where my wife had 'em locked up
    ;)
