Strange, some of these "dirty" words, that elicit a knowing smirk from some factions: antifa - It's short for anti-fascist? What's not to like about that? woke:- meaning becoming aware of oppression. Again, what's not to like? inclusive - not shunning those a little different, courage to come back, racially/culturally marginized. Again, what's not to like? kumbaya - simple lament. Again, ...
what's not to like is how folks act like fascists - but claim they're anti. what's not to like is how when 'awareness' enabless preferences NOT for merit based decisions - but enabling race based preferences &/or genetic men to compete in women's sports, or requiring no borders because other nation's citizenry expect a free pass upon illegal entry as their ciuntry's job opportunities = oppression. It's wonderful - as long as your oncologist is the best, or your pilot, or home builder or cop etc. You don't want your best people to be excluded simply to benefit those who claim to be victims - but in fact simply want to get a leg up whether deserved or not. You go to the Metropolitan Opera to hear the best singer. Not some hairy chested dude wearing high heels & a blouse who got the roll simply because he claims to have victim status.
Was coined by those that didn't like the anti-fascists to obscure what exactly the group was fighting. Might even have come from the same group that did 'global climate change'.
Rumor Has It Tesla servers were attacked & crashed. Same rumor traces it back to Ukraine. X too. Will keep checking for corroboration. So far a pro Palestinian (hamas?) group is claiming responsibility Elon Musk Points Finger at Ukraine for Cyber Attack on X That Caused Major Outages: Live Updates - Newsweek The thing is, despite efforts to trace where it comes from, it's not impossible to hide one's location.
Not a rumor that X servers got hammered. That happened. Rumor linking it to Ukraine was started by Elon. Per one security researcher, when attacking IP addresses were grouped by source region, Ukraine didn't even make it into the top 20. Source: https://insideevs.com/news/754062/tesla-doxxing-dogequest-website-smell/ By: Kevin Williams Mar 19, at 5:08pm ET Yesterday, the internet was shaken up by a website that looked straight out of Black Mirror. The site, called DogeQuest (which I won’t link to here) is supposedly an interactive map that reveals the identities of Tesla owners in various states. It also paints a target on the backs of Tesla service centers, not-so-subtly encouraging visitors to take action against them. Owners listed on the site are told they can be removed if they send proof to the e-mail address with proof they’ve sold their cars. Moreover, it purports to list the personal information of employees from DOGE, Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s unofficial government-gutting effort. . . . InsideEVs was unable to see or verify the identity of the person who made DogeQuest. Perhaps it was a poorly-intentioned Tesla boycott and protestor wanting direct action. Or it could be something else entirely. Whatever the case, the website is stupid as hell. As of right now, the website is down anyway. Rats! I wanted to see if I was listed. Bob Wilson
Could be a great business opportunity to mould clip on body parts to make a Tesla look like a '57 Chev or something, add big tailpipes that emit a V8 on steroids sound and steam so it looks like smoke when you launch off the lights...... and get a home charger of course  Have the garage door air brushed to look like a cactus garden .....or a Humvee complete with a few kick arse 50mm guns mounted on the roof T1 Terry
Too much expense. A cheap sticker is enough. 'I Bought This Before We Knew Elon Was Crazy:' Tesla Owners Are Putting Regret Stickers On Their Car
Ask some of their victims. Many progressive people draw the line at violent protest, and the more radical pieces of Antifa's “We have to fight dirty" agenda. I can respect their unwillingness to actually hurt people and break things, if not their support of those that do. Antifa (a horrible copy of the German Antifaschistisch movement)is actually closer politically to the anarchists and the more violent of the Labour movements in the US during the 19th century - many of whom then as now were paid agitators. You can usually tell by the signs and other swag. They were the original 'bomb throwers' although some of the Prods from across the pond take credit for coining the term during the more recent 'troubles' in Ireland. Fortunately, I live on free soil. We had a group a BLM supporters in my home town near my office that gathered on a street corner and held the now-familiar signs. Me, being me, I even asked them one time if they needed some water or a sandwich. I did it to prove a point to my more politically siloed workers on both sides. Sacred cows STILL make for the best tasting hamburgers!
Then they should be hunted down, fired by their employers, doxed, made to pay court costs and attorney fees, imprisoned on felony charges, and THEN pardoned by the next Dem President. After all BY YOUR standard - same breed of cat - right?
My next door neighbor bought what I call 'the doorstop.' He's even older than I am and the type of person that one would normally associate with a stodgy sedan or maybe....MAYBE a 10-year old Nissan truck. The first time my CFO saw it she made an expression that made me laugh out loud and asked what the heck THAT thing is supposed to be. She stood, mouth agape when I showed her what they go for...... Fortunately, we live on free soil so there isn't much of a chance that somebody is going to mess with it, which is a good thing because in this town it sticks out like a turd in a punchbowl.
Now somebody's attacking Tesla's balance sheet. (electrek link) If only they had access to someone who was good at finding waste and fraud.
Steady on, I just reposted the sign from another forum, no idea if it really exists in the US, or if it's photo=shopped or what ever ....... but clearly, the sentiment stings a bit Kinda strange thinking, when material things being targeted, the full force of society and the law should be brought into play, yet, when the govt elected by the people, is attacked and people injured and killed, the very seat of govt is attacked because one person thinks he should have won .... and didn't, that is the same thing? That same person, still can't accept that the people didn't want another 2 yrs of his style of govt, loses the plot when a reporter won't follow his B/S claims that he was elected president 3 times ..... I guess that says a lot and possibly explains why we are seeing the destruction of what actually made America great, but now has lost, possibly forever in just a few mths ........ Do you think the1957 stage show's West Side Story famous song "America" would ring true today? T1 Terry
I actually concur with a lot of that, which is why I'm a reformed Never Trumper. According to Noah Webster, terrorism is "the use of violence against non-combatants to achieve political or ideological aims." One of the things that I learned even before I spent a year in GTMO is that you do not elevate petty criminals by treating them as if they were legal combatants. You treat them like petty criminals. All the breaks, all the punishments. That means if some piece of human debris keys up a $50,000 BEV or disables a charging station then that person should be charged with the appropriate crime and be required to pay restitution, including court costs and fees and diminished value for the property. Arson is a slightly higher wrung on the ladder because you're notionally endangering other people. Shooting at Teslas or their dealerships is naturally a MUCH bigger deal. This is especially true if you live in one of the horrible Mad Max inspired urban hellscapes that pass as American's 'gun free zones' in many of our larger cities. The same policy should have applied on J6 where more than a few non-violent protesters 'might' have been a little over-prosecuted, and it DANG sure should have been applied on 8 August 2022!!!! Before that, DONALD J TRUMP was a nearly 80-year-old, defeated and disgraced one hit POTUS with money problems and a gaggle of over zealous prosecutors after him for various mattress-tag felonies. Lather, rinse, repeat. ...For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up...
