According to this dyno - that's a short sell, & it's actually closer to 400 HP

    If true? . . . . Sheesh!

Yeah, and the range appears to be better than advertised (334 miles). AND WHAT WILL THE MODEL 3 AWD BE LIKE? Elon has created a monster and he is sandbagging the specs to keep it from eating into MS/X sales. I expect the MS will be refreshed this year and the specs will humble the model 3, which is already a great car!

for that reason, on the smaller / 75kWh Model X & S ..... there are updates - as of about 2 or 3 weeks ago, that enable ~50 more amps of current output - which translates to ~1 second faster 0-60mph on those battery configurations. That update (some are content "as-is" choosing to forgo that no-cost update) called, "uncorking" by owners - seems to be to the chagrin of some of the 85 90 & 100kWh owners, as it leaves less of an acceleration difference between the more expensive pack sizes.
Reminds me of cutting cheesecake slices for the grandkids & they begin to whine when one or the other feels ever-so-slightly slighted by one getting an extra milligram.

Elon had to do that because the model 3 was besting the MS75 in acceleration at about $20K less. These are exciting times in the BEV market. Truly game changing!

C'mon Toyota, up your game! Adapt or die!

Hmm.... the power curve is different. Could that explain the difference between the max power as illustrated in the video vs. the advertised max power?

Will the dual motor have higher horsepower than the RWD version? I assume yes, but not sure if the "total" output is limited by the battery therefore be the same. Please advise.

The primary benefit of dual motors has been that they have greater efficiency/more range. It seems once the vehicle is up to speed, it puts the big boy in the rear to sleep, & the smaller motor up front runs the car on less energy - despite the greater weight of 2 motors .

If all things are equal - this may ultimately mean that there are 4 different range levels. The range of the larger pack - once it's made with dual motors will go farther than the single motor - & the smaller range pack will have two different range levels based on weather it is a single or dual drive motor setup.
One other bit of fuel for thought; There's a youtube video showing all the necessary brackets & mounts up front (pre-installed) so you can see exactly how the front motor will set up. So who knows ... It might be possible, albeit expensive, to have that 2nd drive unit installed after the fact.
