I don't have to be handicapped , or pregnant, or have small children, or be employee of the month, to get a privileged parking spot. My (well, my wife's) Prius has privileged, signed, up front parking now at Office Depot in Austin and Ikea in Round Rock. Whooo hoooo!!!!

Another reason for gas guzzlers to hate the Prius.:p

so the car just has to have a hybrid badge to qualify - could someone put hybrid badges on a non hybrid Civic ?

Probably just as enforcible as the "Mother to be" parking in front of grocery stores. Anybody can park there, as does my 83 yo mother.

Every Ikea I've been to has a designated parking lot for hybrids...

I'd heard about this a while back but could never find the hybrid spot(s) here at Ikea Frisco. Of course, I can't find my keys half the time, either...
