Ok, we'll now start accepting pictures for the 2005 Prius Calendar. We need at least 1 high quality picture of each color. So, send me your highest quality photo possible, we will resize as needed later. Email them to - DO NOT post as an attachment here. That leaves 5 pictures of just some good ole Prius community pictures, or Priui in the wild (There were some great pics from the recent Local Club meets). I think we have a Seaside (Evan?) and a Tideland pic covered, so the remaining are: White Salsa Red Silver Driftwood Black
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Danny\";p=\"40695)</div> Danny, You need to rephase that "Highest Quality Possible"..I can send you a 70MB 16bit AdobeRGB TIFF file...that would be the highest quality possible out of my D70. If the calender images will be 8x10 then I suggest a goal of 2400x3000 pixel image size. Many cameras won't achieve that, but many will be larger. Also, you probably want to specify they be JPG with minimal or no sharpening and a high quality compression ratio. If anyone is confused about that and doesn't know how to resize you can e-mail me your image and I'll be happy to size and prep it for this purpose...but don't slam me with a bunch of mediocre images...stick with ones you think really are worthy of a calendar.

Evan, you have a PM. You have some great points there.
I'd be interested. I'd love to see the pictures include local landmarks from all over the world. No matter what, it'll make a great conversation piece next to my Blue Note Jazz calendar. Later, Kevin
Danny, I'd like to sign up for a calendar and submit a photo. I have one of my Seaside Pearl with the Prius logo decals parked in front of the US Capitol in Washington DC. I think I posted it on the site a long time ago; can't find it now. I'll re-submit again, if you like. Also, I'd like to talk to you about sponsorship.
Put me down for at least one, maybe more if it's really sharp. You're welcome to any pics I've posted..just let me know and I'll send you the the full size versions. Mine is Salsa Red and I'd be happy to frame a shot with the landmark of your choice in the DC Metro region -- various monuments, bridges, whatever.
Sure, I'd be interested in buying a calendar. It will give me something to look at while I wait for my Prius
Hit Danny up for a deadline...I'd like to know too. I'm not going to go hunting around looking for the best photos and requesting submissions. If you have one or two you think are particularly noteworthy/calendar worthy then please submit them via the address and I'll be glad to add them to the review pile.
Danny if I luck out and my wife & her car is picked, I'd purchase about 12 calendars and send it out as Christmas gifts!
Ok folks, I've only gotten 5 submissions so far and, frankly, only two are even serious contenders for the calendar. Someone submitted 2 almost identical photos with maximum dimensions of 640 pixels...that won't be usable as it will never scale up to 10.5 inches. Another sent a fairly high resolution image, but it has lots of edge/sharpening artifact. DaveG..go ahead and submit your photo to me, as a TIF is fine. I'll convert to jpg if necessary. Let's get those photos in...it would be a shame if I had to dominate the calendar with multiple photos of my Seaside Pearl with Arkansas Razorback stuff and TOGOB4 plates all over it!! Peart75...where's your stuff buddy...I know you've got the quality. rflagg...have you got a full frame of your shot??? It seems to be cropped in at the sides and not maximally sharp...I'll take the original file out of your Digital Rebel if you still have it. Remember, mail them to
Just wanted to share with the board. I've emailed this link to Evan for calendar consideration. I pulled over this morning and snapped some pictures. The weather has been warm with cold mornings. The dew is thick and the mist steams off the groud and especially off lakes. I think I'm going to snap a few more pictures tomorrow morning if the conditions are the same. Here's the link: http://www.geocities.com/tonypschaefer/Pri...apus/Photos.htm WARNING: The images are large. Dial-up users might become frustrated.
