Sorry it took so long for me to chime in... but I've got backlog of 1,490 unpublished photos to sort through still and the upcoming fall colors are likely to add another 500 to the pile. Plus, I've got all the other stuff on the website to keep updating... so I'm just a tad busy.

Anywho, I finally picked one out and sent it in. I went for the unique/creative category... virtually no color at all, but lots of sticky snow on a collection of evergreen & leafless trees, with a little bit of angled eye-flow to offset the center-position of the car in the shot.

Does anyone know who took the photo of the Northern Illinois University campus police Prius? A full-size version of that picture would be good!

Another possibility is the Vancouver taxi?

    Any other unconventional roles?

I'm trying to find a high-res picture of the Prius GT - anyone have one?

Waiting on my 2005 Prius but will go ahead and take two of the calendars, one for home and one for work.

    Great Idea.

The highest-resolution picture of the Prius GT I've seen is this one of it at the Paris Motor Show, from Toyota Europe's site. Only 1024x768 though.

The show is still on, so if anyone fancies nipping to Paris before October 10th, they could take a higher-res photo of it.

Are there any plans for pre orders. I expect there will be a shortage and I'd like to get two of them as soon as they are made available. Sorry if this has been asked before but what is the expected date of release? I think this is a great idea and a great way to contribute to prius chat.

Jason - no pre-orders yet, I'm waiting to finalize the actual calendar and have it off to the printer before I take any orders. I will definitely make an announcement as soon as we are ready to take pre-orders.

Can you announce which photos were selected? In my opinion, it would be good for sales to do so, and I am sure no one is planning to issue a competing calendar.

We can start planning our winter and fall shots now for the 2006 calendar.

We just finished selecting them yesterday. I'll try to get them posted here soon. I think everyone will be pleased with the ones chosen (unless your wasn't one of them I guess  ). It should make a very nice professional looking calendar.

    The Chosen Images <---

Also, about another 20-25 of those not selected for the main images will comprise a collage for the calendar as well.

Thanks all for your submissions!! I, for one, am excited about getting this calendar.

I hope it's OK to say that I was one of the lucky photographers!

We are all (well, the family  ) very excited and we are looking forward to seeing the results of all your hard work.

    Speedracer,

Nice wheels! It's good to see the Japanese version in this assortment - I think this is the only right-hand drive Prius in the collection.

I have a picture of a red right-hand Prius handy to give people who ask for a picture. Then I wait to see if they notice where the driver is. Not good enough resolution for the calendar, though.

And have we had the temerity to ask what this masterpiece will cost, and how many will I have to buy to cover my refrigerator completely?

Calendars will probably be priced $12, plus shipping. Pricing is not set in stone yet, so don't quote me.

Not sure how many to cover your fridge, though :)

Well, OK, let's put it this way.

If I want to cover up an 8.5" x 11" Weight Watchers guide to healthy eating, would one calendar do it? :D (Refrigerator is not set in stone either.)

The measurements of this calendar is 8.5x11 closed - it's a landscape, flip up calendar - pic at top, month days at bottom. So, just in case it doesn't cover it up with one, perhaps you should buy an extra hundred or two. ;)

Two calendars should do it, thanks.

The to-do lists will cover the rest. :(

[Now I know what size frames to get. They look great!]

I personally don't know anyone who's refridgerator is set in stone. I think that would make it very difficult to move. And heavy.
