The BMW Volt?

Its a performance EVER PHEV like the karma. There are big differences though. The karma will switch to use the bmw 4cylinder in serial mode only, while this has a 3 in a parallel serial configuration.. The karma is much heavier and slower. The beemer should get much better gas mileage and electrical efficiency, the karma longer electric range.

Both cars are firmly in that expensive luxury performance catagory. My guess is the karma is al gore's car, the bmw will appeal to most of the others, but there won't be many of either car on the road.
