The Car Sat for a Week and the Battery Died *sigh*

    Do you have the JBL stereo? There is a bulletin on the Amp shorting out and drawing down the battery when parked for a while.

    Have you ever heard a crackling in the stereo? It's related.

    Talk to your dealer about this.

    I knew about the problem of the 12V battery draining after some number of days. But I forgot to turn off the SKS system. We left the car at long term storage for 13 days while we flew away to vacation. When we returned the car started fine.

    2008 with 159K miles. We put in an Optimus battery in 2014.
