    I saw one in LA last week finally pass by me. The design isn't bad, but the market for it is tiny.

    I actually think 50% of the dealers wanting the car is higher than expectations should be. These dealerships don't like new things. It's one reason Tesla is right to stay away from a dealership model.

    If half the dealershps take it then it should greatly outsell the expensive luxury hybrids like the bmw activehybrids (3,5,7) and Lexus gsh, lsh. That should give cadallac a greener halo than lexus, but that bmw i3 and i8 will probably help bmw more.;) I would be suprised if any elr's would sell in montana or mississippi.

    A reason Toyota gave for backing off of BEVs was lack of interest from dealers. They don't want to sell them because they are a new concept and a threat to their service income. Even the BEVs being sold now seem to be only available at select dealerships. It was the same way in the early days of hybrids. Small, remote dealers still may not carry hybrid models.
