Niiice... I wonder if Toyota's gonna upgrade the TCH for 2010 (they're doing the midlife update already for the 2010 model coming out next spring)

Since Toyota also has Prius, it makes a lot of sense for Camry-Hybrid to favor power more. In fact, it's 187 horses is 10 more than Escape-Hybrid. That makes the argument for cars once again being used to tow small boats & trailers an easy one.

It also makes sense for Ford to favor efficiency for Fusion-Hybrid, since it has Escape-Hybrid. With 155 horses, towing probably won't be recommended, but using it for commuting definitely will. In fact, this new hybrid sedan from Ford will deliver a punch to GM while it is already down. Maybe the executives there will finally get a clue and join in. Practical hybrids are obviously catching on.

    Interesting:

The new NiMH battery pack is now 30 percent smaller than the one featured in the Escape/Mariner Hybrids and weighs 23 percent less. The reduced dimensions and weight also means that the battery pack no longer requires its own A/C unit to stay cool which also saves weight.
