The next poster is itching to take a couple days off but isn't going to because they're trying to save up a decent amount of vacation time for a trip next spring. *sigh*

You're exactly right Moxiequz. The bad thing about changing jobs is you lose all of your previously accumulated vacation time and have to start all over.

The next poster found out today that they have to take a business trip to Wisconsin next week.

Well, yes itching and no not. But I don't save up vacation time. I just don't want it to look like I'm faking calling in sick just to take time off. I am taking next Friday off to go to a professional conference.

(P.S. My mom used to say to put butter on the bottom of the cat's paws to get them to stay put and not run away or get lost. Anybody else ever heard that?)

The next poster used to gather all the cats in the house, put mandarin orange wrappers on their feet with rubber bands, and laugh hysterically as they tried to shake them off.

The next poster's wife wants him to go back to the animal shelter where they got OHM, and pick up her other family members.


(See, here is the story: I went to the Lewisville Animal Shelter, where we thought I might see if Echo (my missing cat), had been taken to. She was not there. However, a man had dropped off four housebroken, fixed, indoor cats that had been de-clawed, and needed a home. He had dropped them off about an hour and half before I got there. One of the cats was a Russian Blue cat, which is a pure breed cat. She took to me, so I took her home. I named her OHM (another name after a sound term), and well, she took to me like bees to honey. Even took to my dog dB real easy. Rubbed up to him. )

Meet Balance. This is another Russian Blue cat; sister to Ohm. She has no tail, and is heavier then the other two. Two you say? Yes. We also got Sine Wave, another Russian Blue, also a sister to the other two. That is her in the second picture.

The third sister was gone already, and was a tabby, so we rescued three Russian Blue cats.

 

No, no tail tales, though we do have a rescue kitty, too!

The next poster is baking cupcakes for a birthday party. YUMMMMM!!!! Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World! [Tiramisu cupcakes, actually]

 

I'm not baking any cupcakes but I will say the best brownies I've ever had were the vegan brownies sold from a concession cart outside one of my class rooms at UCSC. Mmmmm.. dense, rich, chocolately (no milk).
