Uhg, that thing looks like it'll tip over if someone looks at it wrong!

I really hate these low speed devices that can't go the posted speed limit, even in town, they cause more problems for everyone else.

This can manage our 30mpg posted limit, and I know the default, state-wide in town limit for New Jersey is 25mph.

Except the US doesn't recognize quadricycles. There have been at least a couple other companies making these low speed EVs. An old member here had a Xebra Zap! to replace his Prius for in town use before finally graduating to a Tesla Roadster.

ZEV's claim to fame is highway capable scooters with the longest range on the market.

I assume the headline was meant to be sarcastic?
This is not a competitor to any real vehicle.
It's at best a niche transportation tool.

At a max of 30 mph, I'd think it's applications would have to be very, very specific.

I'd want the flexibility of at least 45 mph for most total suburban environments, and then at that speed, I don't know if I'd feel safe enough in something so small and light.

So what is this vehicle really for?
Back and forth within a retirement community?
Any environment where you can guarantee 30 mph or less?

I think the idea, of a fully electric, suburban neighborhood "task" vehicle, for errands, and local travel is really a good idea. But I think you need something just a little more substantial than 30 mph and 3 wheels. And then the problem becomes you start to boost cost considerably.
