You are awesome for pointing this out :D

Overall i think i like pie. Its made of alot of healthier stuff in my opinion. Cake is good but its like candy almost. I think i could eat pie all day with all the different fruits and crusts and ingredients that can go into a pie. But cake will be cake at the end of the day whether is vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, (anyone else getting hungry?). I always notice that a table with pie on it will die faster than a table with cake. Though icecream cake may be a different story :D .

they should make a CAKE / PIE and call it PAKE. :p

They don’t make a buttermilk cake.
Then there is cherry pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie , the list goes on and on.

Marilyn Monroe? Or Jessica Biel?

I have an awesome recipe for pear and current pie and it tastes just like apple pie with half the work because you use canned pears. Viola! No peeling, and no seeds! It's quicker and tastes wonderful!

I made the pear and current pie for a function at work and one of the guys said it was the best apple pie he ever ate. I told him it was pear and current pie, and he said no it wasn't. I told him he didn't know what he was talking about because I was the one that baked it!
    Then he shut up!

If you want the recipe let me know and I'll put it out for you.

BTW, mincemeat pie hundreds of years ago was made with meat, raisins, apples, spices, and booze. Now a days it has all of the foreamentioned ingredients but without the meat. My dad loved that stuff, but it was too strong for my taste!

More precisely, traditional mincemeat (not the stuff you get in a jar today) was made with suet. Wikipedia defines suet as "raw beef or mutton fat, especially the hard fat found around the loins and kidneys." Yum Yum!!
