    When I had my 89 speedster and hungout w/ other folks of the same ilk I noticed another 'attitutte' here in So Cal. You wouldn't make eye contact with Targas as they were 'only a 1/2 step from a 914' as far as the 'real' porsche owners were concerned (shaking head). Pretty silly, hugh. But in MT they're such a rarity you hardly ever see them. However up there, lots of folks wave ... and they don't even need any similar car nexus thingie to do it.
