I've had the pleasure of filming Jesus lizards in Kakadu Park, fast little guys.
Hatter's got to verify it though, your shot is for certain, Hatters looks close, but it looks like it is a little out of it's element?

I have to go with water droplets on a stamin in front of your home after you watered the plants around 11:00 AM on a weekend while testing a new macro lens?

Check the wikepedia link from my original post, the shot on there is a dead ringer.

Very good, but I'm afraid I can't give it to you without ISO and F-Stop! ;-)

Sorry about the delay - was tied up in a seminar this morning. It is, indeed, the famous Jesus Christ lizard. I thought showing one running across the water was just TOO easy. It looks like you are up, robincx, as you got Greenkeeper's...

Sorry Dan, it looks like you really won Kow's and I stole your slot....

Nope, I got one in there before - the Burning Man picture. It is someone else's turn!

Okay, well, since Greenskeeper didn't want it, I'll go ahead. I've been wanting to post this!

Clue: It's food. These are different variations on the same delicacy.

Clue #2: it is a delicacy in Laos and Thailand. Those little red bits are Thai Royal Dragon chili peppers.

Clue # 3: It is neither vegetarian, nor mammalian.
Clue # 4: It is often served in a salad.

They look like grubs or insect larvae, but I haven't time to check it out at the moment.

They are not grubs. They are not quite larvae, either.

Are they eggs, like ant eggs? (that not quite larvae was a pretty big hint :D )

Yes! Ant egg soup, and ant egg salad! I can tell all of you out there that it's really not very good, in case you were wondering!

Yeah, I gave four other clues, first.....

    You're the winner!

    I good with the ID.

    I'd say F-1.8, and ISO 100. - just guessing.

No very much the opposite, but I supose it would take a macro geek to catch it.

At that level of magnification the depth of field goes down to almost nothing, so a small aperture is crucial to getting anything in focus. It's F22, ISO 1600. Also, the star shaped lens flares, and the reflections of the aperture in the out of focus areas point toward a very small aperture.

You are right and I am schooled.

Macro is not my field although I did do a lot of photomicography work at one time shooting Foraminiferida. Now adays I mostly shoot action sports and my family. I know where to turn for Macro info should it arise.
    Thanks.

Megan, are you going top post an image?

    Street Cleaner brush blade.

Back in my stoner days I found they also made great pipe scrapers.

That looks suspiciously like the top edge of the engraved plate (engraved with a prayer to Filister Cummerbund, God of Tuxedos) that is fastened atop the 50 foot spire that tops the Great Hall Dome (200 feet high) that forms the central ceiling of the Great Hall itself (350 feet high) that is the main structure in the center of the ancient city of Phantasmegopolis, long buried beneath the cumulative dust of centuries, and this uppermost edge of that city's highest apex is all that remains visible today.

Either that or it's some random rusted strip of iron that fell off a passing truck. :p

Wow, I'm sure you are right. My daughter kept bringing these things home after her morning jog. Then on my next run I found two. The next week we stepped out of the car at mall ten miles away and there was one in the next parking space. I thought it was the new crop circle...., actually I thought someone here would likely know, realizing I wasn't completely abiding by the rules. Thanks Greenkeeper!
