Theft of valuables in Prius

    So a couple of things...

    Firstly, people in my area have reported these homeless people, teenagers and others who have these transmitters and get into cars on people's property. Considering how careful I am to lock my doors, this is the most likely scenario; not that I left my doors unlocked. Also, they either couldn't or didn't intend to steal the car. I don't think the transmitter they use allows theft of a vehicle.

    I reset the code on my garage door opener and then bought a new remote and programmed it. This means the old opener is useless. I also will not be leaving my car on my driveway at night anymore so this can't happen again.

    I checked with the dealership and the piece that goes in the console is around 50 bucks. Total ripoff so I wont be replacing that. Are we sure it's just a piece of rubber lining?
