Just turned 150k. So far so good. My only broken part is my driver's side seat belt. The shoulder strap will not click into the receptacle unless I push down the release button while inserting the tab. It's kind of annoying but it's hard to be upset as this is my first broken part. :)

Have you tried a dry lube? Hopefully it's just sticking.

Nope and I never even considered it. I'll try it out. Thanks. :)

2004 with 235K miles, both sets of struts, pumps replaced. The inverter pump just recently in the recall, it was still good.

What about the hoses? how long are they supposed to last?

Did you do the serpentine belt with the engine water pump?

Hoses generally last a very long time. Something to think about replacing if you have to drop the engine+transmission sometime in the next 10 years.

    Yes, belt has been replaced.

    Thanks

Just had the transmission fluid changed for first time (235k miles), had some saved. anybody interrested in an analysis. Had it checked at 104K, after four years in SF Bay area, mechanic said that it looked like new. Did another four years near Tucson, mechanic said it was dark and grainy. Their Prius expert at Dessert Toyota recommends replacement every 60k miles.

Out here, I'd agree. At 60k, it was rather dark. I'm leaning toward doing it again now that it's at 125k.

Analysis may prove or disprove your expert's theory. If Bob Wilson were hanging around, he'd be interested for sure.
