There are pro-gays, anti-gays, and those who take a moderate stance. If you want to poke, poke at those who are outwardly fighting the gay couples who are trying to attain the same rights as hetrosexual couples.

Bush took advantage of political moderates (those who believe that both extreme right and extreme left causes are bad for our country). He pissed them off. That's why the face of Washington saw such a drastic change today.

I suggest you not follow Bush's example. Don't take jabs at the moderates. You just might need them some day when fighting for programs such as civil unions or the like.

I agree. Seems to me that the country works best when it's governed from the center. I mean, if you have to be in only one place, at least from the center you've got the best chance of being able to reach as far as you can in every direction...right...?
