Yeah, I've had pretty bad double posting issues - it doesn't seem to go through, and I try again... And then there's two posts.

It seems the multiple posts are being caused by the posting lag. I clicked more than once just to get my post up, and then all of a sudden a bunch of posts appear. Waited each time for progress bar to disappear. Site is worse this morning than it was yesterday. Sorry for the bad news @Danny

 

One thing with the double posts, one of the mod's (Tideland?) suggest to report them, at least your own. Flags them for deletion. Except right now I guess Danny's as busy as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs, lol.

 

But it does add to your post count!

I think a lot of folks have missed the point of the double postings. It is an IQ test to find out if you can think of anything else to add. <GRINS>

It also goes to show how impatient all of us are, clicking, clicking, clicking ....

You have to imagine it like this was back in the "Al Gore just invented the Internet dial-up days" you click once and wait, and hope! LOL.

 

I tried to do one multi-quote post this morning. By the time it let me go, I took a look, and saw that beside the one correct posting, there were two single-quote duplicates. I then attempted to edit those postings, change their content to "deleted". What with posting delays on both of those, plus reporting them, the whole effing process of one posting took close to 15 minutes.

 

That sounds better than my "drop-kick them off the end of the driveway". That ends you up with your foot in a cast.

That was scary, post went right up. Maybe the salt water did some good for the server.



Put many a quarter through one of these. Got a few replays also.

 

Anyway to just set everything back to defaults, or too many mods would be lost? And would it even help?

I'd say look to CleanMPG, they appear to be using same software, but with little or no tweaking. Except: the last week or two I've found it impossible to stay logged in there: they're getting into the buggy phase too.
