this website has gone ballistic.

    So last night the posting hang ups were back. You try to post, it apparently hangs (doesn't post), so after waiting a while you try again, and maybe a few more times. Then when you come back, refresh the page or whatever, you find you've done 2~3 duplicate postings. Once that starts happening, a work around:

    1. Type what you want to post.
    2. Just for insurance, select it all and copy.
    3. Attempt to post, and wait, say 20 seconds.
    4. If nothing appears to be happening refresh the page.
    5.If nothing, maybe wait another 20 seconds and refresh the page again, just to be sure.

    Looks like someone's trying to fix things, site down this morning till maybe 20 minutes ago.

    yup, i just keep refreshing until it comes up. the more you type the longer it seems to take.

    The moderators must be as busy as cats in a room full of rocking chairs: even with best intentions and a lot of patience, it's nigh impossible to avoid double-posting. :confused:

    Just keeping score, you currently can't:

    1. go to the home page
    2. post a picture
    3. see your content
    4. search

    new technique, i bring up 2 or 3 screens at the same time, and work an alternate while the other is refreshing.

    It had been a bit "funny" for 4 or 5 days, locking the screen so it wouldn't scroll - a restart of Chrome was the only solution. The general menu (top LH corner) won't work either. And I tried attaching a tiny image - it said it was too large for the server to handle.

    I think I got all the duplicate posts (thanks to all who reported them).

    If you see more, let me know.

    Also, if there's more than one duplicate, just report the first instance and tell me how many (or I can look at it myself). No need to report the 3rd, 4th and 5th post of the same post. Saves me from going into each report and clicking "resolved".

    Same here. I tried multiple times this morning. Couldn't get anything to load. Then I was gone all day. Just got back to the 'puter now and it's working great. So far.
