The Pedal Commander, Sprint Booster and Pivot throttle response controller.
These devices allow the driver to alter the throttle response settings of the vehicle to increase or decrease sensitivity (without using the different mode buttons)

Just curious if anyone has used devices like this on their Prius. I read some reviews on the corolla forums.

Horrible lack of throttle response is my only real complaint about the Prius.

This is essentially what these items do:

Who’s got the energy to lift their right arm each time twice before driving? Pressing the start engine is enough and then shifting to drive also :p

The picture in my intitial post did not work. I uploaded it here.

The throttle controller essentially allows you to fine tune the throttle response without having to select a specific mode. Throttle response does NOT equate to a more powerful engine. It's simply the engine's response to the driver's input.

This is essentially what the Prius mode buttons do (amongst other things, in Eco, EV, etc).

This would allow for finer tuning of the throttle input without having to select the different modes.

You do know that PWR, ECO and normal modes do exactly that, adjust the response of the pedal.

(If you, like me use Cruise Control 90% of the time, then the pedal mapping does nothing)

I drive in ECO most of the time.

I turn ECO off sometimes in cold weather, if the windshield is fogged and I want to clear it more quickly (the ECO setting suppresses the supplemental electric heat).

Then I usually end up leaving it off for a couple days without really noticing the change in go pedal mapping and remembering I turned it off. That's about how much difference the pedal mapping makes to me.

I pretty much push the pedal however far makes the car go like I want, either way.

I have the Injen version. With power mode and the Injen on it's a spirited driving experience to say the least for the Prius. It's great when going on the freeway

I have pedal commander on my SRT and it rips the tires when its on high.

It's better how than just pushing the pedal enough when going on the freeway?

I am not. I am on CC over 90% of the time and I can't visualize how a throttle controller will affect a throttle I don't have my foot on.

For a great many Prius owners, they can get better mileage manually operating the throttle, however I am on an alluvial flood plain, I can drive 155 miles with a 90 foot elevation change. Manual control is not 'better' if you have no hills and valleys to plan for. US 49E in Eden MS to US 61 in Walls MS. The biggest bump will be an overpass near my home in Greenwood MS. https://goo.gl/maps/HgiaJuAHkMgW3rP96

When throttle (pedal) is depressed in eco mode or power mode there's still a delay in the throttle response before WOT.

With a throttle controller or drive by wire some calls it on. It eliminates that lag. Its instantaneous for the better word for it give you WOT.

I know there are many people that are sceptical about these products but until you try it, you would.think it's a mystery oil kind of deal. Lol

On my SRT 6.4 with the throttle controller on high, just a tap will squeak the tires.

The Prius is not boring! It's simplistic, dependable, and reliable!

Interesting. How's it installed? Are there install instructions to view somewhere?

It's that sort of pitch that can be the biggest red flag. Promoters of things that do what they're advertised to do are usually actively asking themselves "isn't there some way I can credibly establish it does this, and avoid just saying 'you'll never know unless you try'?"
