    Hi all,

I am a newbie to these forums. I am looking at 2010 Prius IV's with the Solar Roof & Sunroof option, and I wanted to get a Thule Roof Rack & Fairing for the Prius when I get it. But I was wondering about these two things:

1.) How much did it effect your MPG?
2.) Could I have a fully functional sunroof with the crossbars and fairing installed? Or would I run into any problems?

Thanks all and looking forward to getting my prius soon!

I just recently installed a Thule kit with one bike rail. I drive pretty aggressively was getting 44-45 mpg on average consistently from a combination of highway and local driving. The rack alone no other changes dropped it down to 39. That was a fairly drastic change considering that's around 70 miles lost per tank.

I usually figure around 10% drop with racks installed so 44 -> 39 does not seem unreasonable.

hitch is the way to go! easily removeable and aero.

Your V is taller than HB too so harder to load up on roof.
