Timing Chain Cover Replacement

    I cracked the threaded housing for the oil pressure sensor switch after tightening it too much while replacing it. I'm guessing I need to either get it welded or replace the timing belt cover which the sensor housing appears to be part of. Anyone run into a similar scenario? Additionally, any constructive advice would be appreciated. I'm pretty handy and am thinking of replacing the timing chain cover myself.

    there are some threads here, but idk if anyone has detailed it. most are just complaints about a minuscule leak and $1,700. dealer repair quote.
    i think you have to lift the engine a bit, iirc.
