$165 was for non ceramic Madico. Before he quoted a price he asked where I heard about them, I said a friend online had given me their name. When I asked about ceramic he said he had two kinds, 3M and I think the other was Madico but I'm not positive. He suggested the 3M

    Sexy. :D

I got the back half of my 2007 done in limo tint, the front windows except the windshield have a slight tint, and the windshield has a limo visor strip. All told it was $250 with lifetime warranty.

The one on the left is the Barcelona Red, but it doesn't look like a 2010 to me.

Beautiful pics. I do like the even coloration throughout. You're not worried about getting cited for having tint on the front sides?

Gad, that's about 60 miles north of me. But, hey, that's just a gallon of gas! ;-)

He has 50% tint, which combined with ~75% tinted glass results in an aggregate of 37.5%. Although CA law states 70% max for front side windows, I had 35% smoke all around (except front windshield) in a previous car and never got pulled over in the 10 years I had it.

Here in NC we can go 35% everywhere except the windshield. When it comes time for yearly inspection you have to pay extra for non-factory tint and they measure the light transference of every window. If it reads below 32% it has to be removed before it will pass inspection.

Fortunately, we don't have yearly inspection in California. It also means we can install HIDs without getting caught.

Just got mine done today, I can say it really makes the car look nice, and the interior is much cooler going down the road.

The dealer that did mine did it this same way, was told this is a kit for the 2010 Prius's???? It is ok, but not as dark as I would like.

I tinted mine with 3M nano carbon 35% (35% of light comes through) all the way around except windshield of course. My car is garaged at home and at work so it hardly ever sees sunlight. My 1993 "Clunker" looked nearly perfect, to bad it was burning and leaking oil like a sieve :-(

I have attached some pictures that give you an idea of what it does for the window. The whole car picture has to many reflections but it may help. I'll post better ones if I figure out how to get rid of the clutter.

At night I don't notice much difference.

I think 3m Crystalline would be better but it was to expensive.

I paid $245 for this job life time warranty from 3m. The Crystalline was $380.

I went to: the tint guy in woodstock GA. The site below has a really nice review of the products. The demo for the Crystalline is very impressive and it hardly darkens the windows. If my car were parked outside a lot I would get the 40% Crystalline.

    www thetintguy com / automotive_window_tinting / automotive.htm

You will have to fix the link since I don't have link posting privilages.

The job looks good but I'm going to wait a while to offer a review since it is takes a few weeks for problems to show up.

Anyone in the Boston/NH/ME area have any recommendations for good/reputable tinting shops? I live in mass, but I'd prefer to go to NH to avoid sales tax.

I did tinting the windows on my 2010 Prius II, and all I can say is: "The White Prius looks alot better after the tint."

The tint was 20%, and I paid $220 for it.

Thanks for the photo - I too have a silver Gen III but will go with a significantly lighter (non-metallic) tint here in MA for all glass except the windshield (may use a clear UV film for the windshield).
