Tires installed inside-out.

I think more along the lines of a motorcycle tire.

I've had people ask me which side I want showing. The "outside" with the lettering/whitewall or the plain side. Motorcycle tires have an arrow indicating correct direction of rotation. If it's going the wrong way, the tire is on the wheel backwards.

You could put the "inside" out on a car tire by putting the right side tires on the left side. I suppose if direction of rotation was critical, they would put those arrows on car tires a well. Are there arrows on your tires showing which way they should rotate when going forward?

In novice motorcycling it's folklore that direction on motorcycle tires cannot be reversed but in racing we often times do flip tires without any adverse effect
