Curious about the TIS via it's own website.
I know it's available via prescription and such.
Is the information downloadable and/or can it be printed out?

The information is downloadable and can be printed out. Toyota has broken things down to small individual pdf files so it would be difficult to download a whole lot of the technical data but it is doable if you have the time.

It is nice to get familiar with the site and find out what is available so that if you do have a problem you know where to go and download the sections that you need.

Yep! a 2 day subscription costs $15 bucks or so, In two days time, if you are patient enough, you could download EVERY PDF file needed for EVERY Prius made! Then just print out at your leisure, or transfer the PDF's to a Tablet!

PS - went to site to buy a 2-dayer, couldn't get to 'continue' button @ bottom of page after clicking 'new subscription' button. Have required system stuff. Have also emailed support @ TIS.

What Browser, are you using? I found I had better results using I.E., Firefox would lock up on me, plus I also would never get to the continue button either! Keep at it, like any prize, you will treasure it more after you finally find it! :D

tks KK but am running all the standard and up to date Java, Adobe, IE and the like,
that shouldn't be an issue. Will keep trying. Maybe I'll call them.

Only on that page (after choosing 'subscribe') you may need to zoom out/in to see that continue button. While on that page go to View|Zoom|75% should also do it. Or just zoom out from that same drop down menu. The button is there, it's the page that's not configured properly.

From what I saw on the site, printing will be the most used function.
There is some info available to be saved to file.
In general the pages from the repair/service manual are available for printing, not saving.
