    Well my boyfriend just told me Toyota called. They found the part for cheaper for me... He said the total for everything would be $1,700. The new inverter is $850, plus the HV ECU, and labor.

    Maybe I should start a donation. I bet I'd make a good 5 dollars!! eh eh?? hahaha

    Just playing devils advocate here, but does anyone else think there's at least some possibility (hopefully small) that they are going to change the inverter and then find that the transaxle is toast (eg MG1 or MG2). :(

    Ok I hope that's not the case, but I wonder if the technicians would be able to test the transaxle prior to replacing the inverter? I'm guessing they probably wont be able to (or at least that they haven't yet).

    Why would you say this?!?!?! lol just kidding... but really, I hope that isn't the case. They said they pretty much tore everything apart checking to make sure they found the real problem. Hopefully there isn't anything else.

    Ugh, they're ordering the part for my car. Which means I somehow have to come up with $1,700 by the beginning of next week. Hm.... lol

    Mark, everytime I look at your picture I smile. That dog must have enjoyed playing in the snow...or powdered donuts. Snow is it, but donuts would've been funnier.
