    Welcome to the PiP top 20 efficiency list!

    The rules are simple:
    - post a picture of your ratio screen
    - miles must total 1000 or more (can be any 1k mile segment, doesn't have to be same tank or lifetime)
    - only one entry per person (but feel free to improve your best)

    Formula to figure MPGe:

    MPGe=(EV miles + HV miles) / ((HV gallons + .5) + ((EV kWh / .85) / 33.7))

    No need to do the math yourself. Simply post your ratio screen picture and I will take care of the rest.

    I understand you are adding 0.5 gallon because PiP displays the gallon in integer and rolls up only when it reaches another gallon.

    EPA MPGe calculation includes charging loss. PiP displayed kWh does not. I have measured mine with the bundled EVSE (120v) charger and it is about 14% charging loss. If I am not charging PiP, I leave it plugged in my garage.

    Here is mine. 78 MPGe without charging loss. 76 MPGe (EPA).

    166 Wh/mi without charging loss. No stop signs/lights? No hills?

    I didn't realize this. Is 14% what everyone is experiencing for charging loss? If so, I can add that to the formula and change the current numbers.

    Mike measured about 11% but I think he unplugs the EVSE when not charging. I looked at John's data and it seems to be 15% charging loss.

    I think 15% is a good round general number.

    Thats what I use, 15% for charging loss, so go ahead and change. :)

    Mine is just this tank, if I go back to day one, I think I'm only about 59% EV.

    15.3 mile trip, 12 stop lights 4 stop signs round trip, about a 200 foot drop down to river and 200 foot back up hill and the same going back home. other wise mostly flat just small inclines , declines.

    Here's mine.. just shot today. It's missing about 1400 miles though because my numbers got reset when I disconnected the battery to change my steering wheel. The numbers represent about 12-13 months:

    These are some great numbers guys! I'm already all the way down to 6th. Soon I will be off the list!

    Keep in mind that this can be any 1000 mile segment. It doesn't have to be over the lifetime of the vehicle or on the same tank.
