I recently purchased one of the elm327 WiFi OBDII readers and have the Torque Pro app on my Android phone with the Prius-specific PIDs installed. While it seems to connect to the app okay, and I get readings for other parameters on my car, for some reason when I scan for fault codes, it will always say there are no fault codes on the ECU, despite warning lights currently being on my dashboard and multifunction display. Any idea of how to fix this?

I'd heard of other people on this forum having luck with the elm327 readers for their Gen 2s, but maybe they weren't trying to read codes.

i'm not sure myself, i know eric becky has mentioned other products, but it may depend on what you're trying to read.

Elm 327 with Torque may miss some codes.

You can use Torque for many things, but if it misses the code, then your next line of defense is to hook up your minivci with techstream.
