Touchscreen calibration and audio balance trouble

I have a 2010 prius with navigation and jbl speakers that i just purchased not to long ago. The calibration of the touchscreen has gone bad and i am no longer able to use the touchscreen feature, touching the top of the screen at random spots will select random points on the bottom of the screen. I have a mount for my phone and the bottom of the phone sits on the very top of the touchscreen. Somehow the phone got the touchscreen to get to the audio settings and set my balance of the speakers to the rear so now i have no sound to the front and i cannot fix it. Ive tried to disconnect the battery but only the presets reset and the balance remained the same. Does anyone have any tips/tricks to fix that issue or will i just have to get a new unit?
