    Hi all,

I am from Sri Lanka and bought a 2013 Toyota Aqua G. It has a display named "nszt-w62g", which is similar to below images.

When I click "A V Power" button on the right bottom, it shows a menu with AM & FM, SD, CD/DVD, DS, BT etc.

    Working fine parts:
    1. This display shows the video of backward side if I put vehicle to "Reverse" and it is working fine.
    2. Radio is working fine

    Questions:
    1. I would love to know how to change the language of this to English.
    2. TV has Japanese channels configured, but I am unable to find the way to search TV channels in my country.
    3. When I click BT (bluetooth), it shows a phone. But even though I started bluetooth on my Android phone, I am not sure how to start a scan on this display so that I can pair the phone with car.
    4. When I open the display, it has space to insert a DVD and two move slots to insert "Music" and "Map" as shown below (just below DVD slow). Another closed square named B-CAS. I am not sure what to be inserted into the "Music" and 'Map" slots.

    5. SD menu is disabled, but not sure what is it used for?
Sorry for raising a number of questions, but I am unable to use most of the features available on this.

If you could provide me with some information, it will be a great help as I am completely new to this.

    Thanks in advanced.

i can answer 5th question and 4th question partially.
    4. you can insert a SD card with music files in it (like mp3) also the player identifies the directory hierarchies as well. this is the purpose of "music" slot. "map" slot is used to insert the SD card which contains the MAP.
    5. when you enter the SD card in "music" slot SD menu will be enabled. you can switch between your SD cards using the touch screen. but i do not know the player works without the "map" SD. did not try that

    hope this will help

You'll often find that the JDM vehicles don't have the option for multiple languages like international models do.

It would be helpful if you could find a model number, and provide more photos.

As far as the TV. In Japan, I believe they use a different broadcasting standard than Europe, NTSC instead of PAL. If that is the case, the encoding and possibly frequency settings may make that option useless to you.

We haven't had PAL for about 5 years now. I think it's more to do with the FM radio as Japan use a slightly different band to most of the world, but it's mainly that a JDM vehicle will be strictly a Japan only model and rarely has multiple language and character options. Sometimes it's possible to replace the unit with a US or European one, sometimes not.

Great news for anyone with this head unit!
I've managed to get the SD Card with the program needed to unlock most of the deck's features!
It's an amazing head unit with many, many features. I'm still in the process of figuring things out.
Will get the card out of the car and upload the files during the day today

I have fair knowledge of this set, if you need assistance just ask.

    This set supports;
    Energy Monitor
    Maintanance Record
    Fuel Economy
    Blue tooth streaming

You need a minimum of 5 posts before you can post a link. You have 6 now, so the error should go away.

Alright so for anyone that has a head unit labelled NSZT-W62G, this link will give you the program you need!
It's a HUGE file and you will need at least an 8GB SD card formatted to FAT32 to allow this to work.

    https[colon]//mega[dot]nz/#!GIJh0YQZ!Eg0s3nJ5cWaFZexlV5qwqE6MUi97X_b0NPzQ6dW4Z9o

I'm not sure if this will work for other models, but you can feel free to try this out.
This does not include maps btw, so you still won't get access to the Navigation menu.
Also, if your deck is locked, you'll need to get the unlock code before you can access anything.

    Hope this helps!

    DJ Q,
Were you able to have this SD firmware work in your Prius?
Also is there any way to possibly have the language changed from Japanese to English?

    Darren, I see you're a fellow Trini.
Yes this works for mine, but you need to check the model of the deck.
Secondly, no option to change language.

So, Darren and DJ Q, what do we do now about obtaining local maps so these units to be even more useful to us in TT? Any progress with that?

    Haven't even remotely investigated that.
There's no point in using navigation on a head unit when we have superior constantly updated things like Waze.

1- There is no provision to change language.
2- Map SD, is model specific SD card which contains Maps as well as operating software for this set. Try Toyota Lanka they or some other vendor can supply.
3- Music SD means a sd card containing MP3 music files.
4- Use smartphone + Google translate
Press the menu knob for a second,
Go to setting menu (last item cogged wheel icon)
    go to BT menu
    go to device registration.

However, these options will work only after you insert the Map SD card

Unzip to SD card and use in Map Slot.
