40 days after this post, is there any official Toyota move to solve the problem?

We are waiting for a fix still, new and prospective owners are told that their cars have the fix done during production.

Strange it's taking so long. I guess they must be making the parts as we speak.

I've always found Toyota to be super fast in getting stuff sorted. I've already had my Prius recall all done.

If you want I can send you a personal message with email address for someone high up at Toyota UK HQ if you want to get things shifting - assuming I can find it again!!

Note: I'm being thick today and can't work out how to send you a personal message. You send me one and I'll send you his name and email address.

The software update has been made and it's for the cockpit. Dealers need a special equipment to reprogram it and Toyota is "making" them, they still have just a few now. New cars have the fix already applied in the factory.

    Hi again

Good news from my side. I will be "flashed", estrange in a 22000 euros car, but its true they need special equipment, as i have been told. Mine would be flashed on thursday. Its first time my dealer is going to do, so it is a new procedure with new equipment as you told. Hope to solve problem with mine, and be able to sell it as fast as i can. No more toyota..

Hope they solve your problem. Keep you Auris HSD while you can, the most economic diesels counterparts fail a lot and may have costly repairs sooner than your current warranty ends...
