Wife purchased her new Prius 4 yesterday, was doing the usual setting up and signing up for the "online" stuff for her vehicle.

Noticed when I plugged in her vin for the complimentary two years 25K toyotacare service plan ( 2 free oil changes?) it came up as her vehicle not be eligible. Anyone know why?

    Thanks.

I'm guessing a mistake. Double check the VIN, mine was mis-reported to the DMV and caused insurance issues.

thanks for the response. I checked the vin typed into Toyota Care's website against the vin on her window sticker. It matches.

The website probably has to get the info from the dealer first. Wait a couple of days and try again.

I responded to your question about this on the Totota owners site. Everything said above...

Must be the computer can't compute, toyota just instituted a 3 year 36,000 mile maintenance schedule for all '16 prii, so I imagine the computer wants you to plug in 3 years not 2.

I logged into my Toyota dot com earlier and it shows that I have the "complimentary" 2 years 25k miles service. I didn't have to enter the Vin to check , was already under Toyota care pull down menu.
