I like dogs, what is wrong with them to write something not liked is “a dog”? So the Bz4x is a great companion?

Well the total amount of global energy needed for the future (with rapid population and GDP growth) exceeds what we could do with fossils fuels. At some point in the future, if climate change has not killed us first (and right now I do not think climate change will kill us first), then the bigger issue becomes limited supply of fossil fuels. US oils do not have too much interest in building new refineries, so there is a shortfall. Besides that, scrubbing CO2 is common unit operation in industry: that's why there is fizz in your Coke. Repubs are self-destructing, and Dems want to go with Government-subsidized market where the central gov't via subsidy system gives profits, a little like Tesla model making money from gov mandate credits. If you cannot beat 'em, join 'em.

    (sigh)
for the umbthingth time - this is already been brought up on several other threads - that the oilies are buying V4 superchargers.
But on a more revelant note - you do bring up a great point on maintenance - so all Is Forgiven

;) Will maintenance be w/ the various maintenance laggards like the other networks? Will Tesla integrate with their very efficient system letting you know how many are at each station that are available? Too soon to tell.

It’s just the guy in the picture Toyoda talking. Not exactly worried about him or the company. Tomorrow maybe he feels like the opposite.
Evse’s should be money makers, hence oil wants in. They already can cut oil or increase oil or do whatever they feel like to achieve whatever they feel like. $5/ gal, no problem, $2/ gal, also no problem. Oil in the ground isn’t going anywhere, why not keep it. Especially those oils in the ME, lets just give them this power, becuz we like our oil, and change is hard.
Electricity though is hard to store, make it, what do you do with it?
See everyone is free to have all kinds of opinions, and I know I can dream up more.

No reason for me to visit a Toyota dealership.

No reason to visit a Toyota dealership ... unless they have a used EV for sale.

Toyoda is speaking in his capacity as the head of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association here. The industry there was following Toyota's lead in supporting hydrogen. Which left them wholly unprepared for the growing EV market. The lack of domestic options has buyers turning to foreign brands, in Japan. The government has eased up on the hydrogen rhetoric, and is pushing EVs more. A slow down in the fast growth of the EV market is being spun as a collapse to assuage worries.
