what are some good parts to buy in anticipation of future needs? I know I likely need to buy a valve cover gasket because I likely have some leakage from the gasket around my spark plugs.

Also thinking maybe to stock up on OEM oil filters?? however I was thinking about going with Wix via Amazon? Have always used Fram because I thought they were good (apparently not).

T-shirts for Toyota's racing team? I do not know.

There are no needs... Just stock up on synthetic 0W-20 motor oil and filters from non-Toyota sources... If you run across a battery pack or brake booster for super low price buy 'em. You might need those one day.

what? I thought synthetic 5-20 or 30 wsa the recommended oil for Gen 2 Prius? I've always used the Costco or similar brands. Aren't Toyota filters the best oil filters?

brake booster? I've never had a braking issue??

Gen3 Prius use 0W-20 and I've found Gen2 runs better with it as well... Toyota filters are no different than any other cheap filter. There's plenty of threads on here about that. In general, oil filters are only as good as how often you replace them.

Does the Gen2 burn oil faster with the lower viscosity? Cars that burn OW-20 (and lower) oil are notorious for burning oil even when brand new.
