    Beyond Taxi, it was a very practical car I had one, my kids still have one at 180k miles or so. Now about to be relegated to being used by the new driver in the family.

    icons come and go .... ah la Chevelle, AMX Javelin, Cobra etc.
    nothing lasts for ever - other than eternity ....

    Corvette and 911 ;) 1953 and 1963.

    Although as non icons go the Suburban is the oldest 1935, land cruiser is toyota's oldest in 1951.

    For volume its the ford f series from 1947, which is iconic, but its a whole line not a single model. Maybe the f1 though f150 through the years.

    Most icons fade.
